ABOUT SMAC

The Singers & Musicians Arts Conference (SMAC) is an annual event founded and hosted by gospel music icon Dr. Dorinda Clark Cole. Established over a decade ago, SMAC serves as a platform to educate and empower singers, musicians, and artists, emphasizing the integration of ministry within music.

Conference Highlights

SMAC offers a rich array of activities designed to nurture both the spiritual and artistic growth of its attendees:

Artist Showcases: Providing emerging talents with the opportunity to perform and gain exposure.
Masters Classes and Workshops: Led by seasoned professionals, these sessions cover various aspects of music ministry and industry insights.
Praise Fests and Worship Services: Featuring performances by renowned gospel artists and choirs.

Over the years, SMAC has featured notable gospel figures such as Tasha Page Lockhart, Teddy Campbell, David Daughtry, Hezekiah Walker, Damien Sneed, Neily Dickerson, Eric Dawkins, Asaph Ward, Gerald Haddon, Jason White, Ricky Dillard and Shep Crawford.

Regional Expansion

Originally held in Detroit, Michigan, SMAC has expanded its reach by hosting regional conferences across various cities, including:

Los Angeles, California: Held at Bishop Craig Worsham’s Peoples Independent Church.
Chicago, Illinois: In collaboration with Salem Baptist Church, featuring local gospel talents.
Birmingham, Alabama: Engaging the local community with workshops and performances.
Phoenix, Arizona: Known as SMAC PHX, this regional conference continues the mission of SMAC in the Southwest.

Step 2: Rally Your Supporters

Once your audition is accepted, your performance will be featured in our exclusive YouTube Showcase Competition on Dorinda Clark-Cole’s official YouTube channel. Share the video and encourage your friends, family, and fans to vote for you!

Step 3: Perform Live at The SMAC Showcase During Stellar Awards Weekend

The top finalists will be invited to Nashville, TN, to perform live during the SMAC event in front of Dr. Clark-Cole and her panel of judges. Winners in each category will be announced at the end of the night!
